Stock market closes trading down - The Libyan stock market on Tuesday closed trading at 1, 323.94 points, down 11.10 points, or 0.83%, compared to the previous day.
The overall value for transactions was 184,336 Libyan dinars (1.290 Libyan dinars = US$1) focusing on trading of 14,222 shares in 22 financial transactions spread between Sahara Bank, Al-Wihda Bank, Al-Jamhouriya Bank, the Trade and Development Bank, Libyan Insurance and Sahara Insurance.
Quotations in the banking sector were 96.73% of overall operations on the stock market while the insurance sector recorded 3.27%.
The securities of Libyan Insurance, Al-Wihda Bank, Sahara Bank, Al-Jamhouriya Bank and the Trade and Development Bank dropped by 0.10, 3.67, 0.50 and 1.53% respectively in value to stabilize at 9.90, 11.01, 12.92, 13.80, 18.61 dinars per share.
The share of Sahara Insurance retained its value at 11.50 dinars.
